Business Review and Strategy
Are you going to thrive in 2020, or just survive?
We are living in extraordinary times. Our lives and businesses as we have known them have been tipped upside down, all within a short period. To move forward we need to take stock, develop a business continuity plan, then design a Business Strategy to thrive.
1 Where are you now? What needs to change?
Review and discuss:
- Summarised financials, financial position and cashflow
- Business capacity and current turnover
- Clients – revenue and product mix
- Where is your current turnover coming from?
- What’s likely to change after the shut down?
- Business structure – How are you organised? What staff & roles?
- Conduct a SWOT on the business
- Review your Business/Capacity Model. Is it still fit for purpose?
2 Where do you want to be in next 1 – 3 years?
- What’s your big ‘Why?’ – Review or design your Vision for the business
- Design specific objectives for the future
3 What are you going to do now?
- What are all your options? Consider and prioritise
- How to become more efficient and grow in the current season
- Get aligned and committed to the best options
4 How do you get there?
- Resourcing your options – what’s needed? People, money, time, skills
- Reality testing your options
- Recheck Alignment and Commitment
5 Roll out Action Plan
- Summarise the Strategic Review
- Capture action items in an Action Plan
- Present to the business
- Develop the process for managing and monitoring implementation
Outcomes for each business includes:
- Clarity about what needs to change now
- Clear Direction
- Agreed Strategy
- Roll out Action Plan
